The Beatles Through The Years has been one of the leading internet entertainment sites related to the Beatles since its incarnation in 2011, for one simple reason: we focus on the fans. While we do provide the history of The Band, talk about the latest Beatles-related news in our blogs and on the Tea and a Butty Podcast, discuss their albums and movies, and swoon over pictures of the lads, we also highlight the individuals that make up this particular fandom, because Beatles fans are what keeps the legend of the Beatles alive.

  1. The first time I saw Paul perform "Fool on the Hill" in April 1990 in Tempe, AZ, he said "I'd like to dedicate this to John, George, and Ringo.". The way he said this made me think the fool he sings about in the song was him because, after Brian Epstein died, he was always coming up with project ideas to keep the band going often to the annoyance of John and George in particular. And, of course, there were his differences with them over Allen Klein and his lawsuit after they broke up. He didn't write it with that intention because he wrote it before Epstein died, but that's what I think of when I hear the song now.
